HC, HC, how can I begin. I guess I should start from the very beginning. As a kid, a best friend and I would watch hockey on TV and wobble around the living room in roller blades telling each other how it was our dream to play hockey, and reach the NHL one day. Unfortunately, gear was much too expensive for my family so watching hockey was as good as it got…until.. the second I finished university, and I was able to afford hockey gear. I knew nothing about gear but just took the plunge and bought everything. That was step one.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that 95%of the hockey games I've played in the last five, years are thanks to HC. Due to my schedule, I went through periods where I wouldn't play hockey for weeks or even months at a time. Whenever I had a free moment, HC was where I went and I was always able to find a place to play. Without HC, I may have stopped playing hockey entirely.

I moved to Canada a couple years ago and I hardly knew anybody in my new home town Vancouver. After settling down I needed to find local hobbies and I had an idea of continuing playing hockey after a break of several years.I have never played hockey competitively and most of my hockey experience took place outdoors so I was pretty much a beginner.
